This product is a 100 pg. university accredited policy proposal document (.docx). The document addresses the educational inequities of K-12 Black students. The capstone addresses the lack of Black history within school curricula and how this psychologically impacts Black students and other ethnic groups. The proposal ultimately demands schools and teachers to spend more class time addressing relevant history.
Some teachers are unaware of the term ‘symbolic trauma’ and do not understand the debilitating teaching style of whiteness curricula. This document will give any teacher more insight on how to include diversity, inclusion, and equity into the classroom by introducing students to multiculturalism. The idea is to make any and all teachers feel comfortable with discussing race and wealth with their students. Check it out!
